Storm Alfred

This weekend Storm Alfred affected many towns/cities in the Tri-State area, snapping trees in half and leaving many with no power.  It brought snow and ice far before we are used to and has brought chilly temperatures along with it as well.  When it's cold outside we are more apt to stay in bed, more apt to fall back in to old habits and bad routines.  The best way to avoid the "winter blues" is to fight back against the cold and make every workout.  Of course it's much easier to pull those warm covers back over your head, but the feeling of not having to hide under big sweaters for the winter should take over wanting to be cozy!  When you can rock some skinny jeans, a fitted shirt/sweater and boots you will thank yourself for getting out of bed.  The holidays are fast approaching, Thanksgiving is just about 4 weeks away, bowls of candy are around every corner and your warm bed and blankies await you.  Don't fall into the winter trap! Say NO to the winter blues and cues and Say YES to you!! Choose a buddy and motivate each other to get out of bed; set a goal and stick to it; taking care of yourself should be the number one item on your holiday list!
