This mornings blog idea came from our conversation this morning at boot camp! It seems that running has become our "thing" lately! We all have different ways of getting us through our runs whether it is a mile or a half marathon. I know while I am running I play a constant mind game with myself. Usually I start off okay not thinking about much. After about a mile I start saying to myself; why do I do this to myself, why would someone do this and say they enjoy it, every part of my body hurts. These thoughts feel like they last forever, but actually don't stay too long. I then go to this isn't so bad, I can do this! Luckily these thoughts last longer than the negative. I have this fight with myself for the whole run. Usually once I know we are on our way back I start to have only positive thoughts, I am almost there, I have done this before I can do it again! All in all the game that I play with myself gets me through the runs. Everyone has there own way of getting through. As long as you pass that finish line you have accomplished your goal!!
