Picking Up After...

As most of you know I went on a trip to Florida for Thanksgiving to visit some friends and spend time with Ant, Ava & AJ!  While we had a lot of fun, it threw me off in terms of the "clean" lifestyle I have been leading.  There was literally no time for running, no time to sit for meals, no time to grab water, my eating, snacking and drinking schedule was completely thrown off and in turn I ate things I don't normally eat and since then I have fallen back into some old habits, allowing myself to too many treats, not drinking enough water and maybe not pushing myself as much as I should during workouts.  I share this with all of you because there are many times on this track that we will all experience "falling off the track" but what counts is "Picking Up After" how we put ourselves back on track and not let the past overcome and ruin the future.  So today right now as I sit here writing...this is a new time, a new day and going forward I will pick up right where I left off the day before Thanksgiving making sure to count calories, to pay attention to what I put in my mouth, drinking plenty of water, pushing my workouts, making time for me and although I might have gained a pound or two or five (don't dare jump on the scale) in the past 2 weeks what is important is recognizing the break and hopping back in.  When you are faced with this same scenario know that we are all human we are all capable of straying from our clean lifestyle and that is ALWAYS possible to restart where you left off and PICK UP AFTER!
